Notice for Olympics Express Visa Application Service
2008/07/18

In order to facilitate the visa application for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, those who have the Visa Notification Letters issued by the BOCOG could go directly to Olympics Express Counter for Chinese visas.

Moreover, visa application procedure for foreigners who have invitations issued by the BOCOG is simplified. Details are as follows:

Ⅰ. Those who are accredited to the Beijing Olympic/Paralympic Games

Those who hold the Olympic Identity and Accreditation Cards (OIAC) and travel with valid passports or other travel documents are entitled to multiple entries into the territory of the People's Republic of China from 8 July 2008 to 23 September 2008 without having to apply for separate visas. Those who hold the Paralympic Identity and Accreditation Cards (PIAC) and travel with valid passports or other travel documents are entitled to multiple entries into the territory of the People's Republic of China from 6 August 2008 to 16 October 2008 without having to apply for separate visas.

Those who have already signed up but fail to get the Cards on time or have obtained the Cards but intend to enter China before the visa exemption period may directly contact and get help from the International Relations Department of the BOCOG.

Ⅱ. Those who hold Immigration Forms for Persons Entering China for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad and the Paralympic Games

For those who need to be accredited but fail to get OIACs or PIACs on time or have no time to apply for Chinese visa for certain reasons (not including journalists or media employees), they will be issued Immigration Forms for Persons Entering China for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad and the Paralympic Games by the BOCOG. The Forms, together with valid passports or other travel documents, will be effective for entry into the mainland of China.
