6. To whom do I submit the visa application if I need to apply for a visa to visit Hong Kong (HKSAR)? How long does it take to process the visa?

You may submit your application to this consulate if you are a resident in the state of New South Walsh of Australia.

It takes 4 working days to process the visa if the issuance of the visa is within the authorization of the consulate. And in this case, expediting services are also available for the second day or the third day collection with extra fees charged accordingly.

It takes about 4-6 weeks to process the visa if the consulate needs to report your application to the immigration department of the Hong Kong (HKSAR) government. And in this case, expediting service is not available.

Please be noted, this consulate doesn't accept mail-in visa application to Hong Kong (HKSAR). You have to submit your application to the consulate in person or through someone else (namely your friends, relatives or travel agents).

7. What is the fee for the visa to Hong Kong (HKSAR)?

The visa fee is 50 Australian dollars.

A communication fee of 40 Australian dollars is charged when your application need to be reported by the consulate to the immigration department of the Hong Kong (HKSAR) government.

Wherever the expediting service is applicable, an extra of 50 Australian dollars, or an extra of 30 Australian dollars is payable for the second day, or the third day collection of the visa.
