The Education Office of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Sydney, under the Ministry of Education, has the following main responsibilities:


Promoting educational exchange and cooperation between China and Australia, including the provision of information about the development of China's education to the Australian educational administrative departments and other educational organizations.
Promoting mutual visits, exchanges, links and cooperation between the two countries.
Providing information about studying in China.
Promoting the teaching of Chinese in Australia.
Providing services to Chinese students within the mandate of the Education Office which is New South Wales.
